Friends Church Quakers Nairobi Yearly Meeting In Kenya is a yearly meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Kenya. It was established in 1966 during the time of Rev. John Gregory, a pioneering settler missionary. It is one of the few yearly meetings in Africa. The focus of this meeting is to foster peace and understanding between people of different backgrounds through the sharing of spiritual messages and inspirational works. The yearly meeting holds weekly meetings, conferences, and retreats. It seeks to provide spiritual support to individuals and corporate bodies throughout Kenya. It also seeks to create a visible presence of Friends in Kenya, and to serve as a unifying force for the Friends in the region. It promotes the presence and development of Friends Schools in various parts of Kenya, providing an opportunity for youth to receive a quality education in a safe and loving environment. The yearly meeting also sponsors the Home Disaster Relief and Emergency Services, helping those affected by natural disasters in Kenya. The yearly meeting strives to be a beacon of hope, unity and love in Kenya.
