They were the first hybrid leaders of this denomination and thus initiated a spiritual reawakening in the country. History:

The Church originated when pastors Joseph Milungu and David Tumo Wafula started offering small prayer meetings in July 1977 in Nairobi, Kenya. During these meetings, the two pastors held Bible study sessions and warned of the destruction of the nation if road users and pedestrians did not turn to God and pray. These words resonated with the citizens of Nairobi and soon, regular meetings were being held in homes and offices around the city. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Kenya.
