History:
Queen Alia Al-Hussein, the wife of King Hussein of Jordan, was an accomplished and respected leader. To honor her legacy, her husband had a tomb designed and constructed in her memory. The tomb was designed by Jordanian architect Majed Maaytah, and was inaugurated in 1977 after her passing in 1976. Queen Alia Tomb This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jordan.

The Queen Alia Tomb is open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week and provides numerous services to the public, including a library and a museum. The museum houses exhibits about Queen Alia and her achievements, along with a collection of video documentaries about her life.
