Milk Grotto Church In Jerusalem is one of the most famous holy sites in the city. It is located on the site of a cave which is believed to have been visited by Mary and the infant Jesus during the Holy Family’s flight to Egypt. According to Christian tradition, some of Mary's milk spilled onto the rocky walls of the grotto in Bethlehem when she nursed the infant Jesus. The church was built in the 4th century and has been an important pilgrimage site for centuries. The church complex also includes a small chapel, and a crypt.
