The traditional worship of Shiva Ji is through the prayers of the Sunderkand path. Sunderkand path is a Hindu religious ritual in which tales and verses from the Ramcharitmanas are chanted to invoke Lord Shiva. During the ritual, flowers, incense, and sacred offerings (prasad) are offered to the deity. Many devotees perform abhishekam (ritual of pouring water or milk on the Shiv lingam) and offer offerings of Dhatura, Bael leaves, fruits, nuts and other materials.
