History:

This temple is one of the four Shakti Peetha, or holy temples dedicated to the manifestation of the Goddess Durga presence. Devotees offer prayers to the residing Goddess by reciting various shlokas, chanting mantras, singing devotional songs, prostrating themselves before the idol, offering flowers, Coconut, Holy thread and lighting up lamps and diyas.
