It was built in 1896 and is a one-storey building with Victorian Gothic Revival architecture and two low walls along its north and south walls. The church is situated in a park-like setting, surrounded by brick walls, trees, and a wrought-iron gate. It is one of the best churches in Jamaica which you must visit.

History:

The land for the Spanish Town Methodist Church was donated in 1895 by local landowner, James Carter. The temple was designed by architect Stephen Fournier, and was officially opened on May 15, 1896. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jamaica.
