Ridgemount United Church is a religious congregation affiliated with the United Church of Canada. It has been an active and community-oriented part of the neighbourhood of Ridgedale in Toronto, Ontario since 1874. It has offered worship services, fellowship, and a variety of activities to area residents within an atmosphere of Christian love and grace. History:

Ridgemount United Church was founded in the early 1870s by Reverend William Clark Irwin, who encouraged a few Toronto Methodists to move to Ridgemount and congregate at a wood-frame schoolhouse. In 1874, the congregation purchased land on Heward Avenue from Ebenezer Scott and a cornerstone was laid. The first service was held in the new building on June 28, 1874, with Reverend Irwin appointed to the ministry. In 1925, the United Church of Canada was officially formed and Ridgemount became a part of it. In 1965, the church was renovated and renovated again in 1977. In 2002, Reverend Deborah Pickering was appointed as the Senior Pastor of Ridgemount United Church and has served since that time. Ridgemount United Church offers a variety of services including weekly Sunday services, mid-week Bible study, and many other special services and events throughout the year. There is an emphasis on fellowship and fun activities as well as a strong commitment to community outreach and service. Sunday services are traditional but creative and include joyful singing, scripture readings, personal testimonies, prayer and a sermon.
