History
The denomination began in 1886 in Monroe County, Tennessee, when founder A.J. Tomlinson, converted to Christianity and was baptized with the Holy Spirit. Tomlinson became a traveling evangelist and soon gathered followers who shared his vision of emphasizing the baptism with the Holy Spirit and the power of the Word of God.
