Brixton Hill United Church is a Christian church located in the historic town of Brixton in South London, England. It is a member of the United Reformed Church (URC) and is dedicated to furthering God's work in the local area. The church was founded in 1718 and is one of the oldest URC churches in the country. Brixton Hill United Church History The church was founded in 1718 by Mary, Duchess of Montagu, who was a prominent member of the Church of England. The earliest records of the church, however, only date back to 1735 when it was first consecrated. The original building, which still stands today, was built in 1756. Since then, it has undergone several renovations and extensions and now comprises the Church and Village Hall.
