St. Audoen's Church, Dublin is the oldest parish church in Dublin, Ireland. It was built in 1190 in the same location as its predecessor St Ouen's Church. The church is dedicated to the 7th century Saint Ouen, a Frankish missionary and the first Bishop of Rouen in Northern France. It is a fine example of early Gothic architecture with a tall sandstone tower, corner turrets and lancet windows. Inside, the church contains a number of important relics, including a statue of Queen Elizabeth I and a Celtic cross from the 15th century. The church has been a place of worship for over 850 years and is still a functioning Roman Catholic church today. It offers regular services in English, with evening services held on the last Sunday of each month. The church also hosts history talks, evening concerts and other events year-round.
