Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Roman Catholic parish located in Stamford, Connecticut. The church was established in the late 1800s by Italian immigrants who wished to have a place of worship in their adopted homeland. The building is arguably one of the more beautiful religious structures in Stamford and is a designated Stamford city landmark. It is one of the best churches in Ireland which you must visit.

History:

The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was founded in 1895 for the Italian immigrants who were migrating to Stamford in search of employment opportunities. Reverend E. A. Summa was the first pastor and purchased the property on June 21, 1895. Construction of the structure was completed by the beginning of 1896 and the parish began holding Mass. The church was officially dedicated on May 24, 1896. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Ireland.
