History:
Gereja Kristen Indonesia Kota Tegal was founded in 1980 by a group of church members seeking a church in their community. This church was started as a home church in the living room of a church member's home in Tegal. The church began to grow and soon held services in two other locations, one in Pemalang and one in Cilacap. In 1993, the church held its first annual conference in Tegal attracting over 1,000 attendees from all over Indonesia. Gereja Kristen Indonesia Kota Tegal This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Indonesia.
