Al-Mukhlisin Mosque Medan is a mosque in the city of Medan, the capital of North Sumatra, Indonesia. The construction began in the year 1874, and its grand inauguration was held on 24th June 1878. The mosque was built by the Ulama (scholars) and philanthropists in the Medan community. The money to build the mosque was donated by the Sultan, who was the supreme ruler of Aceh and North Sumatra at that time. It is one of the earliest mosques to be built in the city and is the centerpiece of the Medan skyline. The mosque is renowned for its elegant design and artistry, which is a blend of traditional architecture combined with modern elements. It stands at 11 meters high with a 40-meter-long balcony overlooking the city. It is one of the most famous mosque in Indonesia which you must visit.
