Al-Hikmah Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Padang, is a grand and beautiful Islamic mosque located in the city of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The mosque is believed to have been built in 1820 by an Arab-Indonesian nobleman, Syekh Haji Baruk Hasan bin Syekh Muhammad Belolo. It is one of the oldest Mosques in Padang, and among the most important in the area. The mosque covers an area of 8,700 m2, and consists of three cloisters and a spacious courtyard. The walls of the mosque are decorated with Arabic inscriptions.
