It is believed to be the burial site of Shah Ismail, a 16th century Sufi saint who dedicated himself to the teachings of the Islamic faith. The burial site is located on top of a small hill and can be accessed through a flight of stairs leading up to the grave. The tomb is marked with a signboard showing the name of Shah Ismail. To the north of the tomb lies a path leading up to the nearby Khir Bhawani temple, one of the most sacred temples of Kashmiri Hindus.
