The Temple of Devi (Yamai) is an ancient Hindu temple located in the village of Thimmasandra in Karnataka, India. This temple is dedicated to goddess Yamai and is believed to be more than 400 years old. It is an important pilgrimage site as well as a popular tourist spot in the region. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The main attraction of this temple is an awe-inspiring statue of goddess Yamai carved out of a single stone. It has a unique form with a large forehead, four hands and three eyes. The body of the deity is depicted in a seated position holding a conch, a chakra, a lotus and a sword. The temple is known for its impressive architecture and is surrounded by lush greenery.
