Sivai Mata temple In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
The temple is built in the style of the Deogarh style of architecture, which combines elements of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist temples. Built out of redstone, the dome of the temple is supported by four pillars and is surrounded by a large dugout. The main entrance is decorated with sculptures of gods, goddesses and other Hindu symbols. Inside the temple, there is a rectangular room with a temple sanctum, which houses the idol of Siva. The walls of the temple are decorated with reliefs of images from the Hindu epics along with floral designs. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The temple is known for its intricate stone carvings, which are carved from the local red sandstone. The sculptures of the temple are mostly deities from Velapuram's family, including the four-headed Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and the elephant-headed Ganesha. It also houses statues of a variety of gods and goddesses, such as Krishna, Shiva, Parvati and Nandi. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
Interesting facts:
The temple is known for its ancient stone inscriptions which contain verses from the Vedas, Upanishads and other Hindu scriptures. It is also said that the temple was once home to 12 Shaivite saints who used to perform pujas at the temple.
