The Shrine and Mosque known as Dargah of Zafar Khan Gazi is a highly respected religious site located in the town of Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh in India. This shrine and mosque is dedicated to Zafar Khan Gazi, a Sufi Saint who is said to have been born in 527 AH or 1121 CE, in Herat, Afghanistan. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Shrine and Mosque known as Dargah of Zafar Khan Gazi is a grand structure which comprises a large courtyard, surrounded by a semicircular wall and a small tomb. The entrance to the shrine is decorated with colourful panels which signify prosperity. In addition, the tomb of Zafar Khan Gazi is decorated with intricate stonework, and is the focal point of the shrine.
