The Shahi Masjid in Palghar is a historic mosque located near the fort in the ancient town of Palghar in the state of Maharashtra, India. The mosque was built in 1603 AD by Malik Ambar, a powerful minister of the Mughal Empire, under the patronage of Sultan Iqbal-ud-Din Ahmad. It was constructed in the Persian-Mughal style of architecture, which is characterized by a combination of Persian, Indian and Mughal features. The mosque has two large halls, the inner bay and the smaller side corners, with three entrance gates. There is a large dome, prayer chambers and small entrances on the sides that lead to the mosque's interior. The mosque's walls are decorated with intricate stone carvings, depicting various scenes and figures from Persian and Mughal art, including flowers, animals and Ramayana scenes.
