Shah Jahan-ki-Baoli In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
The baoli is an impressive structure standing 4.5 metres deep and 15 metres wide, filled with pools of water. It is comprised of a series of stairs leading to a deep water tank. There are also pavilions with reservoirs and two grand domed gateways on either side of the baoli. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature of the Shah Jahan-ki-Baoli is a set of stairs that lead down into the water at the bottom of the structure. There are also many pavilions and arched entrances on each storey of this structure, as well as two grand domed gateways which are the entrances to the baoli.
