Ramalingesvara Temples and Inscriptions are a series of well-preserved ancient monuments located near Ramalingesvara Village in Andhra Pradesh, India. The temples, constructed in the 8th-9th century CE, are believed to be built during the rule of the Ikshvaku dynasty of the Eastern Chalukyas. The site is important for historians, as many inscriptions have been found at the site, providing valuable evidence of the history and culture of the area during the medieval period. History:
The main feature of the Ramalingesvara Temples and Inscriptions is the collection of three different temples here - the Mukunaleesvara Temple, the Uma Mahesvara Temple, and the Jata Kalanath Temple. It also features numerous inscriptions, some of which are written in both Telugu and Sanskrit. Many of the inscriptions are donation records and former rulers of the Eastern Chalukya dynasty, providing useful information about the Medieval period.
