Overview:
asjid is a white marble mosque that is located in Lahore, Pakistan. It was built in 1630 during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan as part of his palace complex, the Lahore Fort. It is also called Pearl Mosque due to its extraordinary beauty. Moti Masjid This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Moti Masjid is famous for its exquisite white marble structure, carved and inlaid marble pavilion and its beautiful domes. The main components of the mosque were built from white marble, which was later inlaid with precious and semi-precious stones for ornamentation. The prayer hall is square in shape, with three domes, one on each corner. The central dome is the largest and is said to be a symbolic representation of Heaven. The walls of the mosque are engraved with verses from the holy Quran. Two minarets made of red sandstone surround the entrance, and they are decorated with loopholes and marble tracery.
