Koshak Mahal is an ancient Mughal monument located in the grounds of Fatehpur Sikri, Agra district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a mausoleum dedicated to the Mughal Emperor Akbar's son, Prince Salim, who later became the Emperor Jahangir. It was built under the architectural guidance of Akbar's chief minister, the Raja Birbal. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.

History:

Koshak Mahal is a three-storied building, built in a mix of Mughal and Hindu architectural style. The walls are carved with intricate designs in stucco work, with flowers, foliage, animals, birds and mythological animals decorating its corners. The upper storey houses the main hall which is supported by 28 pillars inlaid with white marble. The walls have arcaded openings with intricate jaalis, with an ornamental jharokha housed inside.
