Overview Medhaji-ka-Mahal is an ancient fortress located in the heart of the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. The name of the fort derives from the great Maratha ruler of the 18th century, Mahadji Shinde, who built it to protect the city from invaders. It is said that the walls of the fort have a circumference of 6.5 kilometers, making it one of the biggest forts in India.
