Eklakhi Mausoleum In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
i Mausoleum is an ancient tomb located in the town of Pandua, in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is believed to have been constructed in the second half of the fifteenth century and is one of the earliest structures of its kind in the region. It is a square structure, built from heavy brick masonry and stands approximately 15 meters in height. The structure is capped by a single dome, which rises to nearly 19.5 meters in height. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The most prominent feature of the Eklakhi Mausoleum is its ornamental brickwork. This was done by covering the walls with hard clay plaster, which was then adorned with intricate carvings and designs. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour

The exact origins of the Eklakhi Mausoleum remain a mystery, as there is little in the way of documentation that can be used to accurately date it. However, some believe that it was originally constructed by Sultan Alauddin Husain Shah, who ruled the Bengal region during the late fifteenth century. This theory is supported by the architectural evidence found in the tomb, as well as local folklore.
