Overview:
rasekara Temple is a popular Hindu temple located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Chanderasekara, one of the seven forms of Parvati and the consort of Lord Shiva. The temple's main deity is a two-handed form of Shiva, with Goddess Parvati in His left side and Mahalakshmi on His right. It is believed that the temple is over 800 years old and has been in existence since 8th century CE. History:
The temple is renowned for its beautiful sculptures and intricate carvings which depict various episodes from Hindu mythology. The temple also has various shrines dedicated to important gods and goddesses such as Vishnu, Brahma, Saraswati, Rama and Parvati. In addition, various festivals are celebrated at the temple complex, including Maha Shivaratri, Maha Navami, Maha Rahusya and Maha Rathasapthami.
