Pastor Wayne Stump started the church in 1991 with a mission to help the people of Placerville, California, and the surrounding region grow closer to Jesus Christ. He envisioned a church with a special emphasis on the power of the Spirit of God. The church initially held services in a VFW hall, eventually upgrading to its own building in 1994. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Guyana.
