The SDA Parish dates back to 1882, when the first wooden church was erected on a piece of land donated by Peter Harris, a former slave and the namesake of Peter's Hall SDA. After a few years, the church was rebuilt in concrete and stone. The church was also remodeled in 1935 and again in 1973 to update its look and appearance.
