St. Nicholas Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in Flroence, Kentucky. It was established in 1842 by Fr. Stephen T. Badin, the first Catholic priest ordained in the United States. History:

The first Mass celebrated at St. Nicholas was in May 1842. The original church was a log cabin named "Old St. Nick's". It was used for 16 years until a larger church was built on property donated by the Stansbury family. The new Romanesque revival style church was completed in 1858. It still stands today.
