Heinola Parish Church is a Lutheran church located in Heinola, Finland. It was founded in 1653 as a part of the Lutheran Church of Finland. The current church building was erected in 1793-1794. It was designed by the renowned Finnish architect Carl Ludvig Engel and was completed by 1818. It is one of the oldest churches in the country still in existence. The church is known for its unique and attractive façade featuring two rows of Corinthian columns. Heinola Parish Church is known for its historical and architectural importance, as well as its religious significance. The church is part of the Diocese of Turku and belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. Inside the church are two old, large organs with almost 600 pipes that are still in use. The façade of the church has remained intact since its construction and it is now listed as a nationally protected site in Finland. The interior of the church has been renovated numerous times and several beautiful frescos have been added, along with a new and improved lighting system.
