St. Lukes Anglican Church is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of North Queensland located in Brisbane, Australia. The church was established in 1925 and is today an important feature in the heart of the community.
St. Lukes Anglican Church History
The church was founded in 1925 when the Anglican parishes of St. Paul’s and St. Agnes’ amalgamated to form St. Lukes. The original site was on the corner of Rode and Gotha Streets in East Brisbane. In the 1960s, extensive rebuilding was undertaken to expand the church and it was relocated to its current location on Stanley Street.

St. Lukes Anglican Church is an important centre of worship and community life in the local area. It serves a growing and vibrant parish with more than 300 people attending weekly services. The current vicar is Rev. Chris Breen who was appointed in 2003.

St. Lukes Anglican Church offers weekly and special services throughout the liturgical year. Services include Holy Communion, Family Services, Chrism Mass, Confirmation, Evening & Morning Prayer, Weddings, Funerals, Baptisms and Taizé. The church also holds regular events such as prayer meetings, outreach initiatives, discussion groups, quiz nights and social activities.
