Karksi-Nuia Orthodox church in Estonia is one of the oldest and largest churches in the country. The building of the Church dates back to the XVI-XVII centuries and it is considered to be the oldest surviving Orthodox church in the whole Baltic region. Built by Archbishop of Novgorod, Ephraim Klimovich, the Church stands at a site that was once an important trading and agriculture centre. Karksi-Nuia Orthodox church holds ancient symbols and artifacts from various parts of the world, including Finland, North America and other countries of the East, including Russia. The building's interior is also beautifully decorated with detailed murals and ancient artifacts.
