Herz-Jesu-Kirche is a Catholic Church located in Vienna, Austria. Its full name is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and it is the largest church in the city. The church was designed in a baroque style with its intricate stonework and large dome being its stand-out features. History Herz-Jesu-Kirche was constructed over the course of 12 years, starting in 1713 and finishing in 1725. It was designed by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, an Austrian architect who is now considered to be amongst the most influential architects of the Baroque period.
