It is believed that the earliest record of All Saints' Church comes from 1215, even though the architecture has various Norman features which confirm its existence prior to that date. The building has undergone numerous alterations and restorations in its more than 800 year history, with most major restoration work taking place in the late 19th century, when the chancel, aisles and vestries were added. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in England.

All Saints' Church stands at the centre of Naseby village and its parish extends to the nearby towns of North China and Efox Green. It is Grade II listed, with a single-part steeple supported by an octagonal stone panel and an abortive spire that has been attributed to the mid-18th century. The south and south-west walls of the building were destroyed during the Civil War and evidence suggest that the tower was scorched by fire looking for hidden arms and explosives.
