The hospital was built in 1745 and the chapel was added later. The chapel was designed in a Baroque style and still functions as a place of worship today. It is considered one of the most important architectural examples in Madrid from the 18th century. The chapel houses frescoes by Antonio Palomino depicting the life of San Andres. The chapel also contains a 16th-century painting of the Last Supper by Luis Paret, as well as sculptures, statues, and stained glass windows. The chapel is open to the public and serves as a place of prayer and reflection for the hospital's staff and patients.
