Catholic Church of Our Lady History Catholic Church of Our Lady is one of the oldest churches in the city of Toronto, Canada. The church was founded in 1844, when a small group of devout Catholics petitioned Bishop Michael Power for the permission to establish a mission church. In 1862, the mission church was declared a full-fledged parish.
