Basílica de Santa María de la Asunción is a Roman Catholic church in Cádiz, Spain, built in the 18th century. It is a sizable Baroque edifice whose builder, the famous architect Guillermo Besramaus, melted the neoclassical, Baroque and Mudéjar styles into one marvelous whole. The main façade of the basilica presents an exuberantly decorated portico; the lateral façades, on the other hand, are comparatively plain, being adorned with windows, a bell tower and a clock.

Basílica de Santa María de la Asunción was built between 1717 and 1730 and was consecrated by the archbishop of Seville in 1783. The original intention was to house the Virgin of Regla and construct a larger basilica to replace a hermitage that had been in place since 1663. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Spain.

Located in the historic quarter of Cadiz, the basilica contains three sculptures by the great Florentine sculptor and sculptor Sebastiano Ricci: the Plenitude of Mary, the Immaculate Conception and the Virgen de la Regla over the marble altar. The tabernacle is made of silver and runs through the middle of the ark.

Masses are celebrated every Sunday and visitors can attend benediction services throughout the day on the 7th of a month. There are also confessions offered daily, except for Sundays.
