It is part of the Diocese of Mamfe and is under the spiritual guidance of Father Joseph Bekono. History:

The parish of Njimafor was founded by Father Joseph Bekono in 1963. He had been serving as a parish priest in the nearby town of Buea, but he recognized the spiritual needs of the growing community of Njimafor and the need to have a church there. So, he set out to build the church, and it was dedicated to Saint Martin de Tours. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Cameroon.
