The First Family of Douala, founded by Pastor Bongoyok and his wife, Beatrice M. Bongoyok, began when a group of believers committed to spreading Christianity made their way from Kumbo, Bamenda in the North West Province of Cameroon to Douala. In 1987, the church was formally established in Douala and CFDM-Worship Centre In Cameroon was born. Since its inception, CFDM’s membership has grown to include over 3,000 members and adherents. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Cameroon.
