Worship Method:

The worship method of Ta Som is a Khmer Buddhist practice that is practiced in many Buddhist temples across Cambodia. It involves chanting prayers, mantras, and offering up food and incense as offerings. It is also believed to bring good luck and prosperity. The primary object of worship at Ta Som is a five-headed version of the Hindu God Vishnu, which is seated atop a pedestal and is surrounded by four giant snake statues. In order to properly practice this method of worship, there are some rituals and specific actions that must be taken to be regarded as proper worship. The basic form of worship consists of making three prostrations before the image of the deity, reciting the five- or seven-headed Vishnu chants, offering incense, flowers, and food, and then ringing a bell three times, thus signaling the end of the ritual. The prostrations may be made either in front of or around the temple. After making the prostrations, one should make a series of offerings of incense and fruit, and say prayers and mantras to the figure of the deity. Once these offerings have been made, a candle can be lit in front of the statue and then the bell rung as a signal that the ritual has been successfully completed. After that, the individual should then leave the temple quickly and quietly. This most visited temple in Cambodia
