Traditional offerings include incense, flowers, and food to honor Shiva. At the entrance of the temple is a large stone lingam, which is used as a focal point during worship. Pilgrims traditionally take three steps around the lingam and circle it three times before making their offerings. Offerings may also be placed inside the temple, including white flowers for lord Shiva or offerings of milk and honey to honor the god Vishnu. Prayers are also performed at Prasat Preah Vihear. Worshippers may recite mantras, offering their prayers to Shiva and other Hindu gods.
