Terrace of the Leper King Cambodia is a Khmer temple and royal enclosure located within the world heritage site of the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia. The temple is believed to have been built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. It is widely accepted as a place to have venerated members of the royal family who had died of leprosy. The temple is characterized by its large and high rectangular platform, 11.5m tall and 46m wide, decorated with carvings of lepers, monks, dancers, and scenes from Hindu mythology. The Terrace also features a large lingam statue at its center, believed to represent the Buddhist and Hindu gods Shiva and Vishnu. The terrace offers a wide variety of services, such as guided tours, private tours, educational programs, and worship services.
