Paroisse Cathédrale de Kaya is a Roman Catholic parish in Kaya, Burkina Faso. It was founded in 1966 and serves local Catholics in the city and the surrounding area. It is one of the most important parish churches in the country. The church serves as the center of the Diocese of Kaya, which is part of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ouagadougou, with about 20,000 Catholics. History:

 The parish of Kaya was founded in 1966. In the same year, Pope Paul VI elevated the parish to a cathedral of a Diocese, with Kaya becoming the episcopal city of the Diocese, suffragan to the archdiocese of Ouagadougou. The parish was formally canonically erected in 1967 and is named after St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of the parish. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Burkina Faso.
