Eglise des Assemblées de Dieu/Temple Sion de zagtouli is a Pentecostal megachurch located in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It is affiliated with the Assemblées de Dieu (“Assemblies of God”) organization, the largest branch of Pentecostalism in the world. The church offers services in French and has a membership of around 4,000. The church is headed by Pastor Issa Konaté, who is also the director of its radio station, Radio Tonus.
The church was first established as the small ‘Church of God in Africa’ in 1988. It was founded by Pastor Issa Konaté, a native Burkinabé, who sought to spread the Assemblies of God message of salvation and faith across sub-Saharan Africa. In 1995, the name of the church was changed to Eglise des Assemblées de Dieu/Temple Sion de Zagtouli, and it has since grown to a much larger institution.
The church provides a variety of services, ranging from Sunday services to education and health care. In addition to Sunday services, the church also hosts regular prayer meetings and Bible studies. It also offers an orphanage, a vocational school and a health clinic to its members, as well as outreach ministries in the local community.
The church is committed to spreading the gospel and has sponsored mission trips to countries such as the DR of Congo and the Ivory Coast, providing financial assistance and opportunities for evangelism.
