It belongs to the diocese of Reims, and is noted for its beautiful gothic architecture and its many decorated sculptures, frescos, and carvings. Built in the mid-14th century, Eglise de Boudtinga is an example of the Marne area's religious-architectural heritage. It groups together elements of late-gothic, neo-gothic, and renaissance styles. Its architecture is composed of a row of chapels, steeples, and galleries. It consists of a primitive gothic nave, with a semi-circular apse and two side aisles. History:

Eglise de Boudtinga was built during the mid-14th century, though some historians have suggested that an earlier church may have occupied the same site. It is one of the most well-preserved religious monuments from the Middle Ages in the Marne. The church has also been connected to an ancient monastery which had requested the title “abbaye” from the Bishop of Reims in 1428. By 1668, the abbey and other monasteries had been suppressed due to their lack of resources and many religious artifacts were moved to other sites. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Burkina Faso.
