At Jigme Dorji National Park, Gasa in Bhutan, visitors to the park have the opportunity to take part in spiritual practice for conservation. This practice includes offerings such as lighting butter lamps and incense before the statue of Guru Rimpoche, chanting sacred mantras, placing Tibetan mantra rolls, prayer wheels and sacred flags, and making traditional offerings to the earth mother, which is done by placing five pieces of grain, stones and flowers within a circle. The Jigme Dorji National Park in Gasa is the second largest national park in Bhutan. It is located in the northernmost region of Bhutan, in the area known as Gasa. The park can be accessed through one of three main routes: Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha. From Paro: From Paro, one can travel to Gasa via Drujeygang-Laya road. The journey takes around 6-7 hours, with stunning views of the Himalayan peaks along the way. From Thimphu: From Thimphu, take the route to Punakha and then to Gangtey Valley. From Gangtey, you can drive another 2 hours to reach Gasa. From Punakha: One can reach Gasa from Punakha via Wangduephodrang, Trongsa and Bumthang. The journey usually takes about 8 hours.
