Minsk-Arena is a multi-purpose arena located in Minsk, Belarus. It opened in 2010 and is primarily used for ice hockey, basketball, and concerts. The arena has a capacity of 15,000 and is owned by Sport-Concert Complex Minsk-Arena LLC, which is a joint venture of the city government of Minsk and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus. The Minsk-Arena was built to serve as the main venue for the 2014 IIHF World Championship and to replace the aging Minsk Ice Palace as the home of Dinamo Minsk, one of the premier ice hockey teams in the country. The arena has hosted a number of sporting events, including the 2014 IIHF World Championship, the 2014 World Ice Hockey Championship (2016) and the 2016 IIHF World Cup. In addition to that, the arena has been home to various musical acts, including Jessie J, Rammstein, Muse and Disturbed.
