United Baptist Church In Barbados: History,Facts, & Services
History:
UBC was founded by a group of 18 African nationals who settled in Barbados after being expelled from Germany in 1782. These 18 individuals were part of a group of Moravian missionaries that had been enroute to St. Thomas Caribbean when they were captured and forced into slavery in Germany. In 1809, these people established the United Baptist Church in Barbados as a place of worship. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Barbados.
