St Martin’s Anglican Church, located in the historic Garrison area of Barbados, is the oldest church in Barbados and has been in continuous use since its completion in 1640. It is believed to have been founded by William Waterman and his wife. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Barbados.

St Martin’s was built in the traditional English style of the 17th century – a rectangular church with a rounded tower at the west end. It is constructed of hook timber and stone, and still retains many of its original features.

These include weekly mid-morning prayer and regular Sunday and weekday services such as baptisms, weddings, funerals, and confirmations.
